Kering's own results release puts third quarter revenue at 3,345 million euro, down 1% on a comparable basis, and calls the recovery of Gucci the group's defining priority. Gucci reached 1,291 million euro in the quarter, down 6% comparable after a more demanding comparison base and a weaker newness effect than Q2. Gucci's wholesale and other revenues rose 35% comparable in the same period. For the first nine months, group revenue stands at 10,565 million euro, down 2% as reported.
The release also covers the departures. Saint Laurent announced Anthony Vaccarello's departure on October 9 after a decade in the role, and Kering says the House will soon announce its new creative leadership. Whichever direction the successor takes, Saint Laurent's archive will reprice from a thin base.
That base is near empty today. Saint Laurent returns 5 listings on Elusive, mostly books, next to 926 for Gucci. Search Saint Laurent on Elusive to see the lane as it stands, including a 75 euro quote tee among the finds.
